Guys,

We need to do some updates of the scripts of the site as Mod2 has been testing for some time now many of the new enhancements on our backend which include, amongst others,  a more robust database access and management system for faster loading of reports and tallies on our pages.  This update will also attempt to resolve issues on slowness during peak voting hours.

In addition, there is another important update on our online application which will now limit the voting capability of each member to vote on each poll.  Since we are searching for your top 10 choices, we will only allow members to vote up to 10 candidates for each poll per day.  This limitation will also address the issue in our voting contests as it will give each one of our members an equal opportunity to win our prizes given that they cannot vote all candidates per category just to boost their rankings.

The downtime will start from 12AM of September 5 (Saturday morning) to 6AM to allow for checking and short testing.  We will not put off the site for transparency so you know and can watch the site while we are doing the updates.  However, although the site is live while we update, we request that you refrain from using or voting for that time being so as not to interfere with our work.

Rest assured that we are doing this for the betterment of the site and for all our members.  There maybe another downtime schedule later in the month as we probably need to move to a new server if this latest software update will not address the slowness issue you encounter from time to time.
