Topping the chart is the undisputed team up since our first monthly cutoff – no other than the Dingdong-Marian tandem. Real and reel life partners, this couple has been the constant favorite and has hold on the top spot despite several attempts to outseat them by other love teams most notably by the Luis-Angel fans. The love duo who are also called as Dongyan by their fans at our Shoutbox has a very strong following thanks to the support from the Marian and Dingdong fans combined. Congratulations to Dingdong Dantes & Marian Rivera for being the most voted, most wanted and considered to be the hottest love team this year 2009 here at PinoyTop10.com! A well deserved win for this couple!
If there is another thing outstanding you will notice in this result is the fact that Angel Locsin has been the constant favorite to team up with various leading men. I say outstanding because 6 out 10 love teams includes Angel as the lady love interest. This is an amazing feat because it shows how Angel has been the favorite all these years by fans of these leading men. Of these, the Luis-Angel tandem stands out having to trail the Dongyan love affair all throughout the year and proved to be worthy of No 2 spot. Congatulations Luis Manzano and Angel Locsin as well to their LuckyGel fans for bagging the second place in the list!
Another couple has made it to the top after slowly crawling from the bottom – the Mark-Jennylyn tandem – which proved later on that they are still a favorite couple from the showbiz fan base. This long time love birds still got magic to propel a massive campaign to push them to the top of the list and stayed there for months. Once in the list, they have pushed all others aside and retain their No 3 spot till the end of the year. Good job for the Mark-Jen fans. Congratulations to Mark and Jennylyn as well as their fans as our No 3 most loved love team for 2009!
The 4th, 5th and 6th spots belong to Angel Locsin and her known leading men namely Dennis, Sam and Piolo. Of the three, Dennis Trillo is the top favorite to tandem with Angel vesting the 4th place in the polls. Dennis and Angel has been made it to the fans hearts when the two paired up in Mars Ravelo’s Darna in 2005 on GMA 7. We say Congratulations to the ever loyal Dennis-Angel fan base!
This is followed by the Sam Milby -Angel Locsin tandem on the 5th place who happens to be kindled by their latest TV Soap Only You in ABS-CBN. This tandem is on of those who has rose also from the pit and has been pushed by fans to the top 10 list. It slowly inched to the top 5 listing and made it through the end of year cut off to become our 5th placer for this category. On the 6th place is the Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin pair up in ABS-CBN’s Lobo has made waves to fans around the globe who have long supported them and still clinging on to their love magic on screen. The love pair has also paired up in the movie “Love me again : Love down Under” which solidifies the fan base even more. To Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin, congratulations for making it to the top 6 list and also to your fans who have continuously supported you by voting daily till the end.
The tandem of Dion Ignacio and Yasmien Kurdi follows suit at No. 7. This couple has shown a very strong following as well by climbing slowly to the top 10 list and staying there. The fans have been relentless in supporting their dream love birds from Starstruck batch 1 for years now. The stars of Mulawin Richard Gutierrez and Angel Locsin has did it again. Their love magic on the screen has captivated fans and got them sticking to boob tube in this fantasy series the duo has started from. This lovely couple still has the following it needs to get them to the top 10 list and grabbed the No 8 spot in this category. Congratulations to Richard and Angel as well as their fans for keeping up a good fight to the top.
The newcomers Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal has proven to be the future love team to beat. Catapulting to stardom from their suspense drama series on TV last year “Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin”, the couple has managed to garner a strong contingent of young fans that gave way for more projects from GMA 7. They are the only the newest love team who have managed to make it to the top 10 list here at PinoyTop10 amidst strong pairings of Marian and Angel. And finally, last but not the least is the Diether-Angel team up.
