Congratulations, first and foremost to the avid supporters of all our winning candidates.
The year is closing with a bang in a few minutes and we are here to celebrate not only the end of the year 2009 but also the close of our polls this year. We have had an interesting year where we witness how supporters battle it out for supremacy in our polls even to the point of attacking each other personally in our shoutbox. Remember?
As you know we all have winners for every category but we also tally the best of the best and stack rank each candidate according to votes. This is our most prestigious Top 10 list – The PinoyTop10 Most Voted Candidates (PT10MVC) which you normally see in the homepage. This list is important to us because it shows who amongst our candidates are really the most favorite overall by their supporters. The number of votes they garnered shows how much they are loved and supported by their fans. It also shows how strong is the fan base and how dedicated they are.
CONGRATULATIONS! MARIAN FOR THE WIN!
Our BIG Winner for the year is Ms. Marian Rivera for topping the charts for several months in a row including her TV shows, love team tandem and top song for the year. A well deserved win brought about by unrelenting support from Marian and Dingdong fans. We would like to congratulate all Marian and Dingdong Dantes supporters for supporting your idols all the way. Marian Rivera will be the marked at the PinoyTop10.com’s top candidate for the year 2009. This includes her top TV Shows Marimar, Dyesebel, Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang and Sabay Sabay Tayo single.
Similarly, we would like to congratulate all Angel Locsin fans for supporting their idols to the very end never giving up despite trailing second to Marian for as long as the latter is on top. Angel Locsin is our first overall monthly cutoff winner but was overtaken by Marian month on month after that. We thank all Angel Locsin fans who continue to believe in their idol and our polls as they stayed to support Angel all the way.
This year, all eyes and votes are focused on DingDong and Marian. This tandem has been unbeaten this year and consistently topping the charts month over month even though it is has been threatened by the Angel-Luis and Kimerald tandem at some point. Congratulations to the DongYan supporters who have been there always to support their idols.
Another strong candidate making it to the PT10MVC is the trailblazer Dennis Trillo. Dennis found himself in the top 10 list after a strong push from his supporters. Dennis finished 9th place late in this year. He made a major upset to other candidates in the list who have not thought that he will be coming in from behind. Thanks to the relentless support of fans. You are victorious and should be proud of that!
Last but not least is the unforgettable rise to the top of one latecomer candidate in the Favorite TV Networks Category – no other than the UNTV 32 TV Network supported by the UNTV fans. This group has catapulted their network from what seemingly impossible feat of overtaking each and every candidate ahead of them in just one week except the top spot. Kapuso Network fans scrambled to retain the lead but eventually succumb to the unwavering force of UNTV supporters month over month. There was a point where the Kapuso fans almost grabbed the lead again but the UNTV supporters are not giving up to hold on to the top spot. We would therefore call this as the biggest upset for the year in our polls as one smaller network has beaten up a established and massive GMA 7. Kudos to all UNTV Network supporters. Your efforts have paid off!
