And now the for the most awaited love teams of the year – the members have spoken.  Here is the Top 10 List of the Hottest Love Teams for the year 2009 here at PinoyTop10.com!

Topping the chart is the undisputed team up since our first monthly cutoff – no other than the Dingdong-Marian tandem.  Real and reel life partners, this couple has been the constant favorite and has hold on the top spot despite several attempts to outseat them by other love teams most notably by the Luis-Angel fans. The love duo who are also called as Dongyan by their fans at our Shoutbox has a very strong following thanks to the support from the Marian and Dingdong fans combined.  Congratulations to Dingdong Dantes & Marian Rivera for being the most voted, most wanted and considered to be the hottest love team this year 2009 here at PinoyTop10.com!  A well deserved win for this couple!

If there is another thing outstanding you will notice in this result is the fact that Angel Locsin has been the constant favorite to team up with various leading men.  I say outstanding because 6 out 10 love teams includes Angel as the lady love interest. This is an amazing feat because it shows how Angel has been the favorite all these years by fans of these leading men.  Of these, the Luis-Angel tandem stands out having to trail the Dongyan love affair all throughout the year and proved to be worthy of No 2 spot.  Congatulations Luis Manzano and Angel Locsin as well to their LuckyGel fans for bagging the second place in the list!

Another couple has made it to the top after slowly crawling from the bottom – the Mark-Jennylyn tandem – which proved later on that they are still a favorite couple from the showbiz fan base.  This long time love birds still got magic to propel a massive campaign to push them to the top of the list and stayed there for months.  Once in the list, they have pushed all others aside and retain their No 3 spot till the end of the year.  Good job for the Mark-Jen fans.  Congratulations to Mark and Jennylyn as well as their fans as our No 3 most loved love team for 2009!

The 4th, 5th and 6th spots belong to Angel Locsin and her known leading men namely Dennis, Sam and Piolo.  Of the three, Dennis Trillo is the top favorite to tandem with Angel vesting the 4th place in the polls.  Dennis and Angel has been made it to the fans hearts when the two paired up in Mars Ravelo’s Darna in 2005 on GMA 7.  We say Congratulations to the ever loyal Dennis-Angel fan base!

This is followed by the Sam Milby -Angel Locsin tandem on the 5th place who happens to be kindled by their latest TV Soap Only You in ABS-CBN.   This tandem is on of those who has rose also from the pit and has been pushed by fans to the top 10 list.  It slowly inched to the top 5 listing and made it through the end of year cut off to become our 5th placer for this category.  Congratulations to Sam Milby and Angel Locsin and to the Sam-Gel Fans for staying with their idols throughout the year.

On the 6th place is the Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin pair up in ABS-CBN’s Lobo has made waves to fans around the globe who have long supported them and still clinging on to their love magic on screen.  The love pair has also paired up in the movie “Love me again : Love down Under” which solidifies the fan base even more.  To Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin, congratulations for making it to the top 6 list and also to your fans who have continuously supported you by voting daily till the end.

The tandem of Dion Ignacio and Yasmien Kurdi follows suit at No. 7.  This couple has shown a very strong following as well by climbing slowly to the top 10 list and staying there.  The fans have been relentless in supporting their dream love birds from Starstruck batch 1 for years now.  Congratulations to Dion and Yasmien for making it to the top list thanks to all their fans and supporters.

The stars of Mulawin Richard Gutierrez and Angel Locsin has did it again.  Their love magic on the screen has captivated fans and got them sticking to boob tube in this fantasy series the duo has started from.  This lovely couple still has the following it needs to get them to the top 10 list and grabbed the No 8 spot in this category.  Congratulations to Richard and Angel as well as their fans for keeping up a good fight to the top.

The newcomers Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal has proven to be the future love team to beat.  Catapulting to stardom from their suspense drama series on TV last year “Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin”, the couple has managed to garner a strong contingent of young fans that gave way for more projects from GMA 7.  They are the only the newest love team who have managed to make it to the top 10 list here at PinoyTop10 amidst strong pairings of Marian and Angel.  Congratulations to Aljur and Kris as well as their fans for bagging the 9th place in this years Hottest Love Teams poll!

And finally, last but not the least is the Diether-Angel team up.  Last year, together with Sam Milby, this duo has paired up in the hit series “Only You” where they wowed their fans more and more keeping an avid following of supporters that gave them the last slot in this years Hottest Love Teams poll at PinoyTop10.  Congratulations Diether Ocampo and Angel Locsin and their fans for making it to the top 10 list.

The PinoyTop10 Favorite TV Networks for 2009

Winston Churchill, the British Prime Minister in the world war 2 era, once said - “Never, never, never give up”.

I guess this is the slogan of the UNTV fans who have made it to the top spot of our polls despite criticisms from other networks’ fans.  No doubt they won’t give up until the end and theirs is one of the remarkable wins this year. 

UNTV 37 is our No 1 TV Network as Voted by PinoyTop10 Members!

UNTV Fans started late in the game.  A supporter has convinced us to include their network in our Top 10 Favorite TV Networks category and since then they have not looked back.  The supporters flocked to the site, almost clogging in the server at one point and even crashing our Shoutbox for once.  This is a true story of how anyone in PinoyTop10 can become a winner.  UNTV has risen from the pit based on supporters vote.  We have not in any way convinced anyone in their camp to do so but they themselves should be credited for it.

This category has been dominated first by ABS-CBN.  After sometime, the GMA Kapuso fans caught up with the Kapamilya fans and stayed there for months.  Then UNTV fans came to the site and nominated their station.  Within the first week, the UNTV supporters managed to topple each network one by one coming from the bottom and landing at the 3rd spot from ABS and GMA.  They are unrelenting and after a few more days, they have overtaken ABS-CBN at the 2nd spot.  Still they continue to pound the polls, voting daily and asking comrades to vote from all over the world.  In about a month, they gained the top spot and never looked back.  The rest is history.

At some point, GMA 7 fans rallied as the UNTV supporters become complacent about their victory and wide margins.  Kapuso fans quietly gained momentum and slowly closed the vote gap. The UNTV fans realized they are gonna lose the top spot and rallied again to the finish yesterday.

It would be fitting to note here that the Kapuso fans are the most silent and committed voters in our polls.  They seldom shout at our Shoutbox but they are doing their job of voting consistently – daily – and asking other Kapuso fans to do so.  It has been a momentous journey to catch up with the leading UNTV fans at the top.  They just fell short of it as the avid supporters of UNTV are just too tough to dislodge from their post.

The ABS-CBN camp has been silent on this category. After losing the 2nd spot from GMA and UNTV, the fans got disinterested in toppling the top contender.  They stayed where they are slowly eaten up in the last months of the year by QTV.  Q Channel 11 fans came from the Kapuso pool as well.  They have been working hard to maintain their thrust to pull away from the ABS-CBN camp and they did it successfully so they stayed at the No 3 spot.

Studio 23, a known ABS-CBN outfit, remained at the foot of ABS-CBN to land at No 5 in our list.  Net25, also a latecomer, still managed to land its feet at the 6th spot despite all odds.  Net 25 supporters slowly build up momentum soon after their nomination was approved.  RPN 9,  ABC 5, IBC 13 and RMN completes our top 10 list.

And lastly, I just wanted to point out that time and again, we have been accused as Pro GMA7 and their artists.  We are not Pro-GMA 7 or any candidate for that matter. This is an independent online polling for Pinoys worldwide.  We are not commissioned by anyone or tied up with other companies.  This category shows you that what we say is true.  The votes we are tallying are based on actual members votes online and done in real time (you can see it add up instantly as you click the Vote button) for transparency.  We never hide our results unlike other online polls. We are just a vehicle for people to show their sentiments, feelings and support to their idols.

To the Big Winner UNTV Channel 37, your hard work has paid off and Congratulations to your TV station for bagging the No 1 Spot in the PinoyTop10’s Favorite TV Network for 2009.

To the GMA 7 and ABS-CBN 2 fans out there, congratulations as well for putting up a good fight.   We believe that the Kapuso and Kapamilya fans will surely catch up in the 2010 top 10 race here at PinoyTop10.com,

The PinoyTop10's Sexiest Female Celebrity Winners for 2009

The most voted category for 2009 is PinoyTop10’s Sexiest Female Celebrity.  A lot of fights, skirmishes and heartaches have occurred in our shoutbox because of this poll.  This is also the same poll that is the most controversial because we are often accused of being biased to one candidate everytime.

Nonetheless, the poll continued and through ups and downs for different candidates we saw how the fans would really fight for their idols all the way to the top through whatever means possible up to the point of attempting to cheat our system.  They never succeeded and has to succumbed to the result month on month as it is.

Our Big Winner for this category is Marian Rivera topping the charts and the top 10 Winners list.  Marian has been the consistent favorite in this category catapulted to the number 1 spot and stayed there since our 2nd month of closing not only on this category but sitewide as well!  Marian fans truly worked hard on keeping their idols at the top by voting consistently everyday and we would like to recognize that feat today.  Marian fans truly rocks!  Kudos to you all!

On the second place is Angel Locsin who is our first month’s close Big winner and the first overall top candidate at that time.  Angel since then remains at second place to Marian month over month at some point almost overtaking the Marian contigent by a big rally in the 2nd half of the year although that is not enough to topple Marian from the top.  Angel fans are also the most vocal in the Shoutbox and the most zealous about their idol’s positioning in our polls.  They really worked hard to keep Angel at the top although she did not make it to the top spot.  Congratulations to Angel Locsin and all her fans most notably Maganda09 who has dominated our Shoutbox for months with her relentless campaigns!

Our third placer is no other than Iza Calzado.  Iza’s rise to stardom is phenomenal at best even at our polls.  She has been consistently at the far top 10 place until her fans worked out to get her to the 3rd spot for some time.  With much help from other Kapuso voters, she managed to stay up there in the midst of rumblings of other fans.  Congratulations to Ms. Iza Calsado and all her fans!

At the 4th place is Jennylyn Mercado who is consistently at the top 5 late in the year.  Jennylyn fans has also managed to catapult their idol to the top from where we started months back and maintaining her there.  Congratulations to Ms. Jennylyn Mercado and her fans!

Coming from behind is our next big winner Ms. Rich Asuncion.  Rich’s fans continued to vote for their idol and has made her part of the Top 10 list in no time.  Once there, the fans worked hard to keep here in the list and even managed to stay at the top 5 list.  Congratulations Rich Asuncion and Big Kudos to all her fans as well.

Next in the list is no other than Pauleen Luna – our 6th winner overall for this category.  Pauleen has stayed in the Top 10 list for months and just moved up and down month over month within the list.  Her fans worked hard as well to keep her there and so she landed at the 6th spot for the win.  Congratulations to Ms. Pauleen Luna and all her supporters!

On the 7th spot is Ms. Jewel Mische who also came from far behind but as soon as she landed on the Top 10 list, she stayed there for the most part.  She managed to crawl from the bottom and managed her way to the top through her loyal supporters to land at No 7 sexiest at PinoyTop10.  Congratulations to you Jewel and to all your fans as well!

Rochelle can never be underestimated.  Her fans was able at one point to get this lady’s bid for the top 5 sexiest list.  Rochell truly has a strong following and support as well from Kapuso fans.  Rochelle slowly climbed the charts coming from the very bottom.  Once in the top list, there is no looking back and she is now our No 8 Sexiest Female Celebrity.  Congratulations to Ms. Rochelle and her Kapuso fans!

At 9th spot is one that has been slow at first to get to the top but when she’s in the top 10 list, she hang on there.  We are talking about Ms. Ehra Madrigal whose fans showed relentless determination to keep her at the top 10 list most especially during the last quarter of the year.  Congratulations to Ehra and all her supporters for grabbing a slot in our top 10 list.

And last but not the least is the controversial female celebrity of 2009 following a scandal with Hayden Kho – Ms. Katrina Halili.  Katrina has been in and out of the top 10 list but managed to stay there during the last part of the year.  Her supporters as well as Kapuso fans has worked doubly hard to get her to the top 10 list and they are successful.  Congratulations to Katrina and all her fans for not giving up the post till the very end.

Congratulations, first and foremost to the avid supporters of all our winning candidates.

The year is closing with a bang in a few minutes and we are here to celebrate not only the end of the year 2009 but also the close of our polls this year.  We have had an interesting year where we witness how supporters battle it out for supremacy in our polls even to the point of attacking each other personally in our shoutbox.  Remember?

As you know we all have winners for every category but we also tally the best of the best and stack rank each candidate according to votes.  This is our most prestigious Top 10 list – The PinoyTop10 Most Voted Candidates (PT10MVC) which you normally see in the homepage.  This  list is important to us because it shows who amongst our candidates are really the most favorite overall by their supporters.  The number of votes they garnered shows how much they are loved and supported by their fans.  It also shows how strong is the fan base and how dedicated they are.

CONGRATULATIONS! MARIAN FOR THE WIN!

Our BIG Winner for the year is Ms. Marian Rivera for topping the charts for several months in a row including her TV shows, love team tandem and top song for the year.  A well deserved win brought about by unrelenting support from Marian and Dingdong fans. We would like to congratulate all Marian and Dingdong Dantes supporters for supporting your idols all the way.  Marian Rivera will be the marked at the PinoyTop10.com’s top candidate for the year 2009.  This includes her top TV Shows Marimar, Dyesebel, Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang and Sabay Sabay Tayo single.

Similarly, we would like to congratulate all Angel Locsin fans for supporting their idols to the very end never giving up despite trailing second to Marian for as long as the latter is on top.  Angel Locsin is our first overall monthly cutoff winner but was overtaken by Marian month on month after that.  We thank all Angel Locsin fans who continue to believe in their idol and our polls as they stayed to support Angel all the way.

This year, all eyes and votes are focused on DingDong and Marian.  This tandem has been unbeaten this year and consistently topping the charts month over month even though it is has been threatened by the Angel-Luis and Kimerald tandem at some point.  Congratulations to the DongYan supporters who have been there always to support their idols.

Another strong candidate making it to the PT10MVC is the trailblazer Dennis Trillo.  Dennis found himself in the top 10 list after a strong push from his supporters.  Dennis finished 9th place late in this year.  He made a major upset to other candidates in the list who have not thought that he will be coming in from behind. Thanks to the relentless support of fans. You are victorious and should be proud of that!

Last but not least is the unforgettable rise to the top of one latecomer candidate in the Favorite TV Networks Category – no other than the UNTV 32 TV Network supported by the UNTV fans.  This group has catapulted their network from what seemingly impossible feat of overtaking each and every candidate ahead of them in just one week except the top spot.  Kapuso Network fans scrambled to retain the lead but eventually succumb to the unwavering force of UNTV supporters month over month.  There was a point where the Kapuso fans almost grabbed the lead again but the UNTV supporters are not giving up to hold on to the top spot.  We would therefore call this as the biggest upset for the year in our polls as one smaller network has beaten up a established and massive GMA 7.  Kudos to all UNTV Network supporters. Your efforts have paid off!
